Position Overview
The Mold Technician A will perform, duties from, setting up injection molds, auxiliary equipment, following defined process, minor maintenance, safety checks on equipment, and troubleshooting as needed.
Schedule:
-12-Hour Rotating Night Shift
-Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then alternates)
-Also available in Day Shift
Pay starting at $27/hr depnding on experience
Description and Responsibilities
-Work safely and efficiently
-Follow pre-defined press schedule for job specific requirements
-Sets-up production molding jobs, including Mold setting, Process documents, Materials, and Auxiliary equipment
-Gather all process data, job information and enters into injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment and starts production job
-Handle raw material
-Verify product meets customer and quality requirements, perform trouble shooting when necessary
-Perform routine minor equipment maintenance and safety checks on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
-Participate in WD training programs.
-Participate in plant-wide safety efforts.
-Provide plant-wide support.
-Other duties as assigned
Qualification and Experience
-High school education.
-One year post-secondary education in injection molding.
-One year as Mold Technician plus 3 years as Set-Up Technician or equivalent combination of training and experience or demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job.
-Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand/walk for entire shift duration (12 hours
