Job Summary
Assumption Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and faith-filled Preschool Aide to assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, structured, and Christ-centered learning environment. The Preschool Aide supports instructional activities, supervises students, and helps integrate Catholic values into daily routines and classroom experiences.
Job Responsibilities
Classroom Support
-Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, activities, and routines.
-Help set up and clean up learning centers, materials, and classroom spaces.
-Provide individual and small-group support during academic and play-based instruction.
Child Supervision & Care
-Monitor children to ensure safety, positive interactions, and engagement.
-Assist with restroom breaks, handwashing, snack/lunch routines, and nap time.
-Foster a respectful and caring environment in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Faith Integration
-Participate in classroom prayer, religious songs, and celebrations of the liturgical year.
-Support the spiritual development of children by modeling Christian behavior.
-Respect and uphold the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church in word and action.
Collaboration & Communication
-Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student needs and progress.
-Work cooperatively with school staff and administrators.
-Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with children and families.
Job Requirements
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting preferred.
-Basic knowledge of child development and classroom management.
-Practicing Catholic preferred or supportive of the Catholic Church’s mission and values.
-Ability to pass all required background checks and complete required trainings (e.g., VIRTUS, CPR/First Aid).
