Job Summary
The Instructional Aide supports the classroom teacher in the implementation of educational programs and activities in a Catholic school setting. The aide assists with instruction, supervision, and classroom management, helping to create a nurturing, faith-filled, and academically enriching environment for all students.
Job Responsibilities
-Assist the teacher in daily classroom activities, including instructional support and preparation of materials.
-Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and provide personalized guidance.
-Supervise students in various settings (e.g., classroom, playground, lunchroom, field trips).
-Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.
-Support and uphold the philosophy, mission, and values of the Catholic Church and the school.
-Assist with clerical duties such as copying, filing, and maintaining records.
-Model Christian values in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
-Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development as required.
Job Requirements
-Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred.
-Practicing Catholic or willing to support the Catholic mission of the school.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
-Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
