Our service territory covers approximately 75 per cent of the province including Northern Ontario. We generate and distribute electricity to 21 communities in the most northern parts of the province. These remote communities are isolated and scattered, some only accessible by aircraft.
We're a new company but we have a long history in the electricity services industry. In fact, our history dates back over 110 years to 1906 when the Ontario Legislature passed the Power Commission Act establishing the then Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario (HEPC). Since then, we have worked to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and communities across Ontario.
