Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Caretaking Supervisor oversees the Caretaking staff in a group of buildings on the St. George Campus.
Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day Caretaking operational needs, analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements as well as conducting routine building inspections.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Overseeing day-to-day caretaking operational needs
-Verifying inventory of equipment
-Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processesand recommending improvements
-Ensuring others adhere to appropriate waste and recycling programs
-Conducting routine building inspections
-Supervising a department or section and a number of lower-level supervisors (lead-hands)
Essential Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Industry certification (i.e. ISSA, APPA, etc.) is an
asset.
-Five (5) years of practical experience as aLead Hand or Service Worker Caretaking; experience supervising others is astrong asset.
-Experience using and instructing the use of all cleaning materials and equipment
-Must have a valid full Driver’s Licence (G).
-Strong written and verbal communications skills.
-Tactful with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
-Strong leadership, motivational, organizational and administrative skills.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 10 -- $72, # with an annual step progression to a maximum of $92, # Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
