Sessional Lecturer - LAN2014YS - Design Studio 4

Course description: 
This course is the 4th in a sequence of 4 core design studios in the professionally accredited Master of Landscape Architecture program. The emphasis is on merging of conceptual and technical design process and the development of design details. Advanced site design encompasses site grading, materials and constructability, environmental dynamics of plant communities, species habitat and surface hydrology, as well as contemporary social, cultural and aesthetic issues.

Monday 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Thursday 9:00am - 1:00pm 

Thursday 2:00pm - 6:00pm  

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026

Salary (per full-course, inclusive of vacation): 

Sessional Lecturer I: $ 19,641.40
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $ 21,020.07
Sessional Lecturer II $ 21,020.07 
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $ 21,520.55
Sessional Lecturer III: $ 21,520.55
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $ 22,060.71

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master of Landscape Architecture and minimum 5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, expertise in design details, site engineering, and construction administration.

Description of duties: 
Work with studio coordinator, delivery of course material; design studio instruction, delivery and review of assignments, final reviews and deferred final reviews; marking of student work, submission of grades, responding to student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
