Your opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Associate Registrar, Academic Scheduling & Systems, the Systems & Projects Coordinator assists with the development of systems initiatives, including developing project schedules, critical path, timelines, deliverables, and reporting. The incumbent keeps senior staff apprised of impending deadlines, concerns or setbacks and recommends approaches to mitigating risk. The incumbent facilitates design meetings for new system processes and analyzes existing service and process procedures as well as recommends changes to the same. Liaising with IT consultants/developers and stakeholders, the incumbent translates business requirements into technical specifications. The incumbent analyzes and writes program scripts to extract, reformat and analyzedata and prepares draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected. The incumbent provides advice and data to support the development of business cases, and analytics for divisional initiatives. The incumbent also analyzes the integrity of highly complex system problems and/or implications of any new or changed procedures or technology. Evaluating new technologies or new and modified business processes to determine enhancement requirements are also key to this role. The incumbent develops andrevises business methods that support administrative workflow and objectives. Planning the implementation of new business processes and systems and serving as a resource on specific issues to a group of specialists is also fundamental to this role. In particular, the incumbent will support ROSE in its use of Slate, ROSI, online form tools and other recruitment, admissions, registration and student experience systems. The incumbent plans and implements continuing faculty-level projects such as the annual student orientation and similar ad hoc projects as may occur from time to time on behalf of the Registrar & Senior Director, Student Experience and in coordination with OISE departments
Your responsibilities will include:
-Facilitating design meetings for new system processes and analyzes existing services and processes.
-Researching, analyzing and recommending potential changes to system features.
-Developing project schedules including milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reporting.
-Providing advice and data to support the development of business cases and analytics for departmental initiatives including preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected.
-Liaising with IT and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborating on cost estimates.
-Evaluating new technologies or new/modified business processes to determine enhancement requirements.
-Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected.
-Developing and revising business methods that support administrative workflow and objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related area.
-Minimum four years of recent and relevant experience.
-Experience working with stakeholders to implement new or updated systems.
-Solid background in computer technology.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
-Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and data querying tools (e.g., SQL, Azure Data Studio, MS Visual Studio Code, Power Query).
-Working knowledge of ROSI, Slate, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Online form tools (MS Forms, JotForms, etc.)
-Ability to work well as a team member and ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Excellent interpersonal and meeting facilitation skills.
-Excellent organizational and problem solving skills; prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
-Highly developed attention to detail skills.
-Business analysis skills.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 -- $81,312. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,986. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
