The Development Coordinator provides support for the Development Department with a focus on providing donors with exceptional customer service, timely gift processing and acknowledgements, as well as management of fundraising data and systems. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a desire to fulfill a diverse range of needs across the team, and a passion for helping our donor family. The successful candidate will be able to maintain focus, operate at a high volume, and master relevant functions in Tessitura database. They will take joy in completing each day's assigned tasks and take pride in providing exceptional support for the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Development Operations
Process contributions within one business day of receipt of funds or pledge notification. Produce and send acknowledgement letters and related donor benefit collateral within two business days after contributions are received. Manage pledge receivables, coordinating reminders, invoices, and Portfolio Manager outreach to minimize write-offs and deferments. Support documentation and reporting to ensure accurate record keeping and reconciliation between Finance and Development systems Generate and distribute standard reports using Tessitura, Tessitura Analytics, and Excel. Perform regular data hygiene and validation tasks in Tessitura such as merging accounts, membership reconciliation, and contact details cleanup. Partner with the Director of Development to develop reports, processes, and database enhancements that grow the team's capacity and efficiency.
Donor Relations
Support the Development team to fulfill Donor Relations needs, fielding donor calls and emails, and resolving questions; provide donors with exemplary customer service. Support the Donor Stewardship & Events Associate as a VIP Ticketing concierge, processing ticket orders in a prompt manner that reflects a "front-of-the-line" ticketing experience. Support the Donor Stewardship & Events Associate in efficient tracking of RSVPs for events and donor benefit fulfillment.
Administrative Support
Support the Development team to create and maintain Tessitura Plans in support of a range of fundraising activities for frontline fundraisers, broadbase giving, and prospect management. Maintain accurate records and pull reports in Tessitura database. Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising events, donor stewardship, and philanthropy. Assume duties shared by all department members, including rotating assignment of staffing the donor lounge, other department events, and other duties as assigned. All work is performed with a direct reflection of the mission, vision and values of Zach Theater. Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
At least 2+ years of experience in Nonprofit Development or data processing. Previous donor/customer facing roles providing exceptional service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. An enthusiasm for theatre and arts experiences that serve Zach's community. 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree in arts administration, communications, business, marketing, theatre or another arts discipline, public relations, English or related field preferred. Prior fundraising database experience, specifically Tessitura, a plus. Ability to work in a busy office environment, perform work on a computer, talk on the phone, and interact with patrons/external parties.

This is an on-site, campus-based role with the occasional ability to work remotely with approval. PAY:

This is a non-exempt hourly position working approximately 20 hours per week and compensated at a range between $18-$21/hour based on experience. As a non-exempt position, this role is eligible for overtime pay if applicable. New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range posted depending upon qualifications, years of experience in a similar role, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
