The Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an Instructor (PhD) position to assist faculty in pancreatic cancer basic science research. Specifically, the Instructor will contribute to developing pancreatic cancer vaccines and novel therapy development in wet lab research and various animal models. This individual will be responsible for assisting faculty with general lab maintenance, basic science research in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, and cancer biology, novel research strategies development, novel therapeutics development in various pancreatic cancer mouse models.
Job Duties

-Preparing and editing grant proposals
-Preparing and editing manuscripts
-Study design and analysis
-Preparing and submitting abstracts and seminars to local, national, and international conferences
-Building collaborations with basic scientists and clinicians
-Training students and visiting researchers in the lab
-Performs cancer related molecular biology experiments
-Develop cancer animal models and therapeutic studies in animal models
Minimum Qualifications
Education required: Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field. Previous cancer research and cancer animal model development experiences are preferred.
