Job Description

Under the direction of the Project Director, the Project Services Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of the Curlew Basin Restart Project for the duration of the project. This leadership role is responsible for managing and integrating core project support functions, including cost control, planning and scheduling, risk management, procurement support, document control, and reporting. Working closely with the Project Director and cross-functional teams, the Project Services Manager ensures that project services team aligns with corporate and site standards and maintains budget and schedule performance.

Job Responsibilities
-Accountable for the performance and results of a team within the project services function, ensuring alignment with site and regional objectives.
-Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and cost control systems, ensuring accurate performance tracking and accountability for team results within the operational area.
-Oversee the implementation of earned value management (EVM) practices, applying technical expertise to set direction, motivate staff, and resolve performance issues.
-Monitor project performance, recommend corrective actions, and provide technical guidance to ensure objectives are met and aligned with overall production and site goals.
-Directly impact project performance results including cost effectiveness, schedule compliance, safety considerations, and equipment reliability, while influencing internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
-Identifies and resolves technical and operational issues, evaluates non-standard requests, and makes decisions guided by policies, procedures, and site plans while setting guidelines that may impact other functions.
-Collaborate with supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements, addressing operational challenges and contributing to departmental planning.
-Support contract development, evaluation, and administration while forecasting resource needs and managing allocated budgets effectively.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
-Minimum 10 years of experience in major infrastructure, energy, or resource development projects.
-Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project services teams.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
-Strong knowledge of project controls software (e.g., Primavera P6, Omega365, SAP, EcoSys, MS Project).
