POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Facilities Manager, the HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the operation, repair, maintenance and installation/inspection of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Understands and demonstrates knowledge of electrical, plumbing and refrigeration codes and practices, and coordinates between other trades
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Completes all preventative maintenance work orders as assigned performing inspections, and completing all required documentation (computerized and paper) associated with performing maintenance tasks
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Use the SAP CMMS software to complete work orders and requisition materials provide specific actionable information
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Possess troubleshooting skills, identify root cause and recommend improvements on a continuous basis with cross functional teams
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Maintain critical inventory needed to keep operations running, maintain and accounts for tools used
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Manage all filter inventory for all AHUs throughout the facility
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Commercial Mechanic for HVAC
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-CFC certification and knowledge of 3 phase power
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Candidate must have knowledge of PM (preventative Maintenance) practices
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-High school diploma or equivalent
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Five years relevant HVAC/Facilities maintenance experience
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Ability to use all hand power tools, including portable saws and masonry drills
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Familiar with shop tools including metal cutting saws, sheet metal shears, jointers, planners, forming machines, drill press, lathes, and milling machines
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Demonstrated process improvement ability and leadership skills
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Ability to lift 70 lbs
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Must be able to work in cross-functional, self-directed teams
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Must be flexible and adaptable with work schedule to support business needs
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Ability to read and work from blueprints or PID drawings
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Must have or the ability to obtain a forklift license along with an aerial life license
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Demonstrated experience working safely, effectively and accurately in a high volume, fast paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Licensed gas fitter preferred
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Ability to weld, braze and use heat in straightening metal
style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Knowledge and understanding of plumbing preferred

-Knowledge and understanding of Fire/Life/Safety systems preferred

-Understanding of Food Plant Practices/GMPs

-SAP Experience
Base Salary: $26.78 - $40.18
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
