Pay: GBP13.69 - GBP15.83 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:45pm (Full-time, long-term)

The Role
Reeson Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN setting in the M41 area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting both primary and secondary aged pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working 1:1 and in small groups, delivering targeted intervention sessions, supporting in the classroom, and helping pupils to regulate emotions, build confidence, and make progress. This role requires patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with young people who need extra support.
Responsibilities
Work as a Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs

Support pupils with ADHD, ASD, behavioural needs, stress-related disorders, and other learning disabilities
*
Assist the teacher with classroom support and behaviour management strategies
*
Deliver tailored intervention sessions to help pupils with social, emotional, and academic progress
*
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model
*
Maintain a calm, structured approach in challenging situations
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN or SEMH setting is highly desirable

Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs and behavioural challenges
*
Ability to de-escalate situations and promote positive behaviour
*
A patient, consistent, and resilient approach to supporting children and young people
*
Flexible and willing to work across both primary and secondary age groups
