What you’ll build:
 

•    The UKI Head of EDSI will drive broad evangelism of the SAP solution portfolio to the following verticals Energy, Utility, Automotive, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Professional Services, Transport and Insurance. She/he/they will drive all aspects of SAP strategies, including revenue planning, incentives, training and enablement. 

•    As an active member of the UKI Leadership team he/she/they will be expected to contribute to the overall strategic direction of SAP in these aligned verticals and be responsible for the successful attainment of revenue target’s.  
•    The leader will have ultimate responsibility for a flexible, yet disciplined and professional sales organization focused on revenue growth, profitability, and a solution selling approach.  

•    In alignment with Global Customer Success GTM, the EDSI Sales Leader is responsible to develop the vertical business strategy, set direction, and work with regional stakeholders adopt plan and grow the regional business results and overall SAP end to end understanding and adoption.

•    The position requires that the successful candidate keep her/his/their finger on the pulse of rapidly evolving enterprise customers served by SAP and developing new SAP opportunities for the company while serving existing customer market’s.

•    The leader will build and maintain a team of high caliber sales leadership talent to include a mix of both tenured, industry experienced candidates and less experienced, high potential candidates linking a vision and execution strategy to the Managing Director.

•    Inspires and motivates. Brings thought leadership to market needs, generating competitive advantage on existing markets and developing new revenue streams. 

•    Builds a network of C-level relationships across industry, community, and business groups, and with key partners and customers to stay current on issues impacting business and sales, providing meaningful strategic advice to retain and grow their business through integrated solutions.
•    Stays current and informed on all new market trends and sales campaigns, understanding their objectives and relevance, and applying them across sales organization/region. 

•    Support SAP at industry, sales, and media events to include featured analyst and speaker roles.

•    Drives team towards expected market penetration and customers/partners satisfaction levels. 

•    Inspires and influences internal stakeholders, experts, and other resources not under direct control, helping to remove obstacles and aiming goals achievement. 

•    Drives each Sales management member toward expected quarterly and annual sales objectives. Facilitates alignment and effective communication within sales team and internal/external key partners/customers and promptly resolve any conflict to encourage harmonious and productive interaction. 

•    Facilitates individual growth and development of Sales management, setting objectives, performance standards and priorities, coaching and acting as role model on sales approaches and account leadership. 

•    Ensures disciplined sales methodology application across management groups, resulting in consistent and accurately forecasted financial results. 

What you bring:

The EDSI Leader will have extensive experience in a large, high growth Cloud Application Software or technology company. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading sales within high growth, business process-oriented context and/or SaaS based companies where he/she/they consistently overachieved sales targets. 10+ years of experience including at least 5 years software sales leadership within EMEA. Previous responsibility for delivering revenue in a hyper growth environment in software sales a plus. 

•    Experience directing, managing and growing an organization in a scalable fashion for a multi-faceted, sales organization while consistently increasing revenues. 

•    Understanding of global go-to-market strategies including direct selling models and multi-channel leveraged selling motions and business development best practices. Successful experience outside of direct selling is required. 

•    Strong technical acumen and experience leading sales organizations and managing existing industry relationships while targeting enterprises selling multiple products across different platforms and consistently meeting or over-achieving revenue targets.
•    Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services. Knowledge and proven practice with territory and account management in a rapidly growing sales organization. 

•    Ability to understand and implement the highest-leverage activities toward winning big deals. 

•    A history of building and leading best-in-class sales teams by creating loyalty, trust, and commitment to organizational goals. 

•    Both a strategic and tactical executive with a clear ability to act as a change agent and professionally, and resourcefully, make an impact on the organization. 

•    Outstanding knowledge and successful use of proven sales processes and solution selling strategies and methodologies. 

•    Proven ability to work with strategic partners to successfully drive revenue achievement through channels and two-tier distribution environments. 

•    Strong planning, financial and analytical skills; proven ability these skills with deft business acumen to complex situations with competing priorities. 

•    Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations ensuring the value proposition of SAP to internal and external stakeholder’s.

•    Outstanding organizational leadership skills - strong written and oral communication skills, customer and vendor relationships, employees at all levels, treats people with respect.
•    Practices a disciplined process for developing talent on an ongoing basis.
