Job Title: Aftercare Aide
Location: St. Gabriel the Archangel School – St. Louis, MO
St. Gabriel the Archangel School, a vibrant Catholic school community in the heart of St. Louis, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aftercare Aide to assist with supervising students in the school's aftercare program. The Aftercare Aide plays a key role in providing a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students after school hours.
Job Responsibilities
-Supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe and supportive setting.
-Assist with organizing activities, games, and snacks for children ranging from preschool through 8th grade.
-Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with school and program guidelines.
-Support a positive, faith-filled environment that reflects the values of St. Gabriel the Archangel School.
-Help with cleanup and maintaining a tidy, organized space at the end of each session.
-Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Aftercare Director in a timely manner.
-Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Job Requirements
-Experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
-Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, nurturing, and effective manner.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Must be dependable, patient, and flexible.
-Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
-Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background screening required.
