The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting Participation and Lifelong Learning Service though this role as a Business Support Officer providing 12 month maternity cover.
The Participation and Lifelong Learning service, within Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services Directorate, supports young people in Hampshire to make a successful transition to adult life, helping them to participate, succeed, and progress in education and employment. Alongside this we provide support to adults to improve their skills, economic wellbeing, and quality of life.
What you’ll do:
-Provide close business administrative functions in support to the Hampshire Outdoors Service.
-Carry out Finance functions including invoices, Internal Trading Documents, Purchase Orders, and Non-PO Payments.
-Being the main point of contact for all DofE enquiries
-Maintaining volunteer databases and processing new volunteer registrations (including DBS checks)
-Assisting with and managing all Open Expedition and Residential bookings for DofE
What we’re looking for:
-Formal qualifications or equivalent in business administration.
-Previous general administrative experience with specific experience where relevant.
-Previous general administrative experience in a busy office.
-Computer literate in the use of a variety of software.
-Ability to work without close supervision.
-Good team working skills.
-Effective communication skills at all levels.
-Strong customer service skills.
-Excellent time management skills.
