We are working with a welcoming primary school in Catford who are seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support children in Reception and Nursery from September. This is a rewarding long-term role working on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs.
The Role:
Supporting Reception and Nursery age children with special educational needs (SEN)
*
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support
*
Helping pupils access learning and make progress across the EYFS curriculum
*
Encouraging social interaction, independence and communication skills
*
Building strong relationships with children, staff and parents
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
*
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
Must be available full-time from September
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness )
