Engineering Internship Program Offerings

Mechanical - Capital Engineering Intern:

style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
-Contributing to several ongoing capital engineering projects within the plant
-Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
style="list-style-type:circle"-
-Preparation of project specifications and requirements
-Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
-Installation oversight, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
-Valuable insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities, equipment, and safe working practices
-AutoCAD experience - updating existing drawings and creating new drawings
-Exposure to Conveying, combustion, fluid, and pneumatic transfer systems
 

Mechanical - Maintenance Engineering Intern:

-Experience with and exposure to the primary components of Equipment Reliability, including:
style="list-style-type:circle"-
-Asset management and process improvement
-Capital management and execution
-Contractor integration and management
-Development of machine maintenance best practices (PM, PdM, and more)

-Capability to build and nurture relationships with other functions within Armstrong
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
-A track record of leadership through work, school, or extra-curricular activities
 

Required Qualifications

style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited program 
AND be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
-Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative, and within major)
 

What Makes You Stand Out

-Previous internship in manufacturing environment
AutoCAD experience
