Survey 74 - "What do you find is the most annyoing jargon?"
Last month we compared what the most annoying jargon was for users based on the region they were from. The results show that there are a lot of terms that are found to be more annoying than others depending on where people are actually from.
The most annoying term in the South East/London was "Play it by ear" at 20.3%. In the South West, users found "Believe you me" the most irriating at 24%. "There is no "I" in team" was found to be the most annoying by users in the Midlands and the North West and those in the North East thought "Moving forward" annoyed them the most at 22%. The Welsh saw "Touch base" come top of the list and the Scottish "At the end of the day". So, we can see the results vary substantially depending on where people are based.
The results clearly show that there are a lot of terms that people who work in offices find get on their nerves more than others. Company jargon is used to such a degree across all types of businesses but why, because so many people detest it!
