Survey 7 - "Do you drink alcohol at lunchtime?"
Our March survey asked our users whether they drink alcohol in their lunch break. Luckily we can reveal that the majority of the people who responded, have done with a vote of confidence and reveal they do not drink in their lunch break. In fact we had a huge response, with 83% saying 'NO', they did not drink at lunchtime. This left only 17% of respondees admitting to drinking at lunch. It would be interesting to find out how many of these people, interpret drinking as having a social, swift half or in fact they mean staying in the pub for the lunch hour and end up having a couple to be on their merry way.
Although alcohol is a relaxer and makes you more confident when you get back on the phones in the afternoon, drinking in the daytime can disrupt your concentration and have negative effects on your work performance. Probably best to wait til after work to start your drinking. On the other side however, with the summer approaching and the sun shining, we wonder if lunch at a pub with a pint of cold beer would be a more tempting prospect....
