Your CV is essentially a sales document. And just as companies sell their products in advertisements to persuade consumers to buy, job seekers should also consider the best means of selling their skills to prospective employers.
That said, you must do this in a structured and considered manner. There is little value in simply listing your skills one after the other and just hoping that the employer will be suitably impressed. You need to be creative and clever by highlighting all the relevant benefits you bring to the table if you want to persuade the employer that you are ideal for the job and that they need look no further.
